Nice train trip to Danyang (the most famous region for pretty colored trees for fall in Korea) together, just me and her. But then, it turned out that I was the one getting too excite for the trip. To be fair, it has been really looooong since I took classic(?) train to anywhere. This would be same for everyone since this super-fast KTX came out in Korea but I always thought there's something romantic and classic about the train trip.
It was really hard to book a hotel, but we succeeded somehow.
However, the hard part came after that. As it was the main season to go on and see autumn-tinted mountains, trains were fully booked. The only tickets we were able to get was leaving Seoul 6:30 in the morning. Knowing myself so well (I'm not at all, a morning person) I nearly gave up, but I somehow managed to get up 5 in the morning and I don't regret my decision.

IT WAS ALL WORTH IT!!
To begin with, me and my mom got on the train and found there's a cafe in it. Excited, we started to take selfies and it took me some time to realize that I was with no make up.
And on our way to Guinsa, the biggest temple in Korea located on Soback mountain. Even the ordinary roads were pretty, so I got a little too excited.
And there was a place for paragliding. It seemed scary but I was so jealous that he/she could see the pretty mountains from up high.
When we arrived at Guinsa, the biggest temple in Korea, we were just amazed at how huge and well-organized it was. It almost felt like an enterprise providing all kinds of services for the temple stay. Please do understand that I don't have anything agains Buddhism. It's just that I felt a little sad to see such a corporative-kind-of temple instead of simple, quiet, easy yet delicate temples which has been how temples were in my head always.
Aside from that, everything was just perfect. The autumn-tinted trees, getting-ready-for-winter squirrel, blue sky and everything.
And there was this crazy red maple tree I had to take pictures of. It's color was just too dreamy that when I finally came to my senses and looked around, there were so many people surrounding the tree to take the best picture.
And we came down the temple, taking so many pictures as usual.
On our way down, we got really hungry from the 1 hour of walk and we started to fill ourselves with some snacks! Corns! Well, the picture below were taken somewhat after eating the corn, so please pardon our 3/4 eaten corn situation.
Waiting for bus.. yes, I got bored.
Even after eating corns, we still were hungry and found us a Danyang style cooked garlic Bulgogi and all kinds of little dishes. YUM >.<
Next day, before leaving Danyang we went out for a walk.
Every single road in Danyang were soooo pretty with all kinds of pretty colored trees, but this path was especially the best.
And back at the train station in Danyang, waiting for the train back to Seoul..
And that's all for my trip to Danyang with my mom.
And the lesson here? Be good and show your mom how much you love her <3
She wouldn't know if you haven't expressed.
Love, Victoria
