HOW TO BE MOISTURIZED AS AN OFFICE GIRL

Nobody can argue with the fact that offices in winter are one of the most dry places in the world.
As a working office girl, I face this problem every winter.
This winter, however, dreadful dryness was covering me up in more serious way.

As you might already know, hot air heater is the worst thing there is.
But my boss (a man, clueless when it comes to dryness) just can't deal with a slight hint of chilliness in the office.
From his arrival to departure, the air heater from the ceiling of my office blows out heated, dreadful air, just non-stop.

And it reached the breaking point when I couldn't stand it any longer.
There were several times I went off and just wanted shout in ever so quite office of mine.
But that was no solution to the situation. I needed to come up with a plan!!

I googled it right away and listed up the things I could try.

And here are the results.

1. Best solution?! Definitely the Humidifier
About two years ago, front pages of newspapers were busy covering the shocking news about the bacteria humidifiers would generate.
So this was not an option for me no matter how dry the office was.
But the moment I thought I couldn't bear the dryness any second, I searched and found that there are new comfortable ones with no concern of bacteria.

And without time to hesitate, I bought it the second I found it.

This is the one!
You can change the water bottle daily (to the ones you favor) and always alter the filter whenever you feel like to.

It works if you have extra USB port.
It does not gush out like the big ones, but provides enough moisture for your personal space.
(I sometimes put it right next to my face when I need even more moisture.)
You think you can substitute this with moisture cream, but the scale is just too different.

2. Moisture Cream is a must!
I can't emphasize enough on using the good moisture cream before leaving the house.
But when you get into your office, it will not last as you expected.
And that's when a moisturizer comes in.

I always keep two types of moisturizer next to my keyboard.
Balm typed moisturizer (I currently use Bobbi Brown, Soothing Balm) and an eye serum (Clinique, all about eyes serum).

Bobbi Brown, Soothing Balm

Clinique, All about eyes serum

It's comes really handy after a lunch break and around 4-5pm when you need to refresh.
But please don't forget to wash your hand before applying! If not, it will worsen the situation.

3. Mist sprays would do in case of emergency
I read several articles regarding the ineffectiveness of the mist sprays.
They claim that mist sprays can even be harmful and take away the moisture you have when evaporating.
I will have to admit that you will feel the intervals of spraying decreases if you use it too frequently.
However, there’s an occasion that your face feel like being torn up and need something very urgently.

Avene, Spray water

If this is the case, spraying the mist spray once in a while would do.
But remember, Don’t overuse it!

3. More water, less coffee
I would have to say I'm a coffee-holic.
When I was in high school, I drank up to 4-5 cups of coffee with such an ignorance.
But even though I am very well aware of the danger of caffeine, I still drink at least 2 grande sized latte (with extra shots sometimes).
Unlike when I was young, able to accept how much caffeine I intake, I face a limit these days that my body can't take any more coffee. not a drop.
I start to shake, my heartbeat bounces up and I can't really help myself go outraged with temper even at tiniest things.
Together with this, I am concerned that coffee would dehydrate my skin.
It's a known fact that coffee takes water with it when excreted from body.
This is a serious damage for you if you plan to hydrate.
I know drinking water instead of coffee is really hard and I have to change my daily routine, but drinking coffee is that harmful. I can't seem to be able to stop drinking.

This is the one I am not doing very well at the moment, and should really work on.
Can someone please let me know a way to solve this?
Always a dilemma for me. Share with me if you have any special solution.

Love, Victoria

P.S Always possess hand cream. When it comes to hand moisture, it's better to use frequently after washing your hands than to use the expensive one sparingly.
